Our Palencia wines are distinct and almost all vineyard selects. These distinct wines showcase our “Love and Respect for the land” join us as we explore the rich soils and the unique flavors these Washington prestigious vineyards offer. These wines will be produced in limited quantities and offered to our Wine Club members first.

2016 Albariño

Ancient Lakes of Columbia Valley

The aromas of lemon twist and tropical fruit intensify in this wine as the floral attractive notes invigorate the senses with its exotic appeal. Albariño is predominant white varietal in the Northwestern region of Spain. This aromatic white wine grape shines in the renowned caliche soils of Washington Ancient Lakes AVA. A 30-day fermentation in Hungarian oak gave this Albariño its golden yellow color and supple mouthfeel & texture. The flavors of apple, peach, pear and lemon zest are framed with bright minerality that coats and refreshes the palate. Enjoy the Galicia style lingering mineral notes chilled with your favorite seafood & salads. Salud!

2014 Grenache

Yakima Valley

With a medium to full weight in taste, this Grenache is fruit-forward and aromatic with crisp acidity, providing scents of ruby red grapefruit with lots of cherry and licorice flavor. This salacious wine was aged in French oak for 14 months allowing for a soft silk finish. Enjoy with Lamb, pork tamales or soft cheeses.

2014 Mourvedre

Tasting Notes:
Our Mourvedre is inspired by the rich spicy ripe characters renowned in the Spanish version of this variety as Monastrell. The Yakima Valley provided a depth and rustic appeal to this vintage with hints of Blackberry, violets on the pallet and a tingly black pepper, plum and gravel notes on the nose. Small Vat fermented & Aged in 100% French oak barrels gave this wine depth and layers of complexity. Enjoy with dark meats, aged cheeses

The aroma displays hints of leather, cloves, ground pepper & chocolate all intermingling with a touch of mocha. This GSM blend is composed of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre & show cases the unique terroir and vibrant flowers of these Rhone varieties. Aged in 100% French oak, the wines rich layer flavor profile will keep the palate begging for more. Cheers!

2015 Pinot Noir

Ancient Lakes of Columbia Valley

Our Pinot Noir show cases the versatility and unique micro climate found in the Ancient Lakes AVA. This region, better known for its aromatic white varieties is quickly showing its potential with red varieties. The cooler climate helps develop ripeness with the pinnacle of flavors with longer hang time. Dark ripe cherry, cranberry intermingle with hints of licorice and caramel on the pallet. A gentle cool fermentation followed by 12 months of aging in 100 % French barrels with minimal intervention produces a Pinot Noir with purity of fruit. Enjoy with soft cheeses, seasonal fish or peppered steak.

Red Mountain

The pinnacle of power and finesse shine on the renowned Red Mountain AVA. The distinct full bodied supple tannins caress the palate. The bold rich flavors of blackberry, dark chocolate and mocha fuse with cherry and hints of clove. This elegant Cabernet was aged in 100% French oak barrels for 26 months giving it layers of complexity and polished tannins. Enjoy with Steak, Lamb or aged cheeses.

Wahluke Slope

Sourced from Rosebud Vineyards located in the Wahluke Slope region. This wine delivers its dark fruit intensity with an elegant fragrance on the noise. An extended Maceration during fermentation produced a full bodied power house style. The 100% French oak barrels refined the tannins and saturate the palate with finesse. Enjoy with Lamb, Chicken Mole or aged Cheeses.

El Viñador (also means the guardian of the grapes) is a tribute to all the hard working vineyard labors like my father. Sourced from the beautiful Ancient Lakes AVA this Temprañillo is the quintessential example of the power and finesse of terroir. Hand picked and fermented in small open top fermenters then aged gracefully for 14 months on 100% french oak gave this Temprañillo depth and complexity. Aromas of clove, leather and mocha introduce you into a full profile of cherry, coffee bean, mocha and almonds. the firms supple tannin's will allow this Temprañillo to age gracefully. Pairs well with a sexy steak dinner.
